Meg was 6 months...well 2 weeks ago!

Meg actually had her 6 month appointment last Monday. She is 17lbs 13oz (75-90 percentile) and 27.25 inches long (95 percentile). We are still long, but definitely not lean anymore! She is eating lots of different baby foods. She eats one package in the mid-morning and 2 at supper time. She has tried apples, pears, squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, and green beans. The green beans were not a hit at all. She refuses to eat and even has resorted to gagging noises. I am pretty sure she gets this aversion from my middle sister Anna. She is unsure about squash so tonight we mixed it with apples and all went well. We have not taken many pictures lately because our camera is broken, but we did get my dads on Sunday to get us through until the Geek squad saves the day. Meg has also learned how to give "kisses", but she doles them out very carefully and only on her terms. Her version is wide open mouth (no tongue) on your cheek but she definitely makes the smacking sound. It is probably our most favorite thing right now. She also loves when we kiss her, and that often makes her giggle very loudly. It is too funny. The last baby quirk she has is holding onto the silky tags of anything...her lovie, a bib, a blanket as she sucks her thumb. She usually does this when she is tired. It is so sweet.

The only downside lately has been a long running ear infection, we had to switch antibiotics and her dry/eczema skin. We are now greasing her up with a combination of vaseline, aquaphor, or Eucerin, and a bit of cortisone multiple times daily. Our hands are silky smooth.
