Meg's social life

Meg is just getting the the age where she can actually "play" a little with a friend. While Heather and I were on maternity leave we got Meg and Micah together often but they were not on each others radar. Now, they have been in daycare together and are both months older and actually pay some attention to each other. This week Meg actually had two play dates with friends from Daycare.






On Tuesday her friend Hailey, who is a week older, and Hailey's mom Lorah and friend Becca came for a play date/babysitting time. I had to attend professional development so I did not get to join in on the fun, but luckily they took a few pictures for me. They had a fun day playing and even took a field trip to Target. I am so excited Lorah will also be a worker in meg's daycare next year, I hope she is one of the people working with Meg and Hailey's age.








Then on Wednesday we both had a play date. We went down to Spring Hill to Heather's house for Meg to play with Micah and me to catch up with Heather. We are supposed to get together every Wednesday, but this was the first one and it was June 10th. So we hope things work out better as the summer carries on. Meg and Micah definitely recognized each other, but Micah is 5 weeks older than Meg and that makes a big difference right now because she is starting to be mobile. They were so well behaved and played for about a a couple of hours in the floor, a lot of that time they were not even needing our attention which was nice. We both enjoyed the adult conversation! I am pretty sure this is what most of my "adult conversation" will be centered around for the next couple of years or so!
