We went to Mia's birthday cookout the night of the 4th. Mia just turned 5, and is the big sister of Meg's best friend Micah. I know babies really don't have best friends, but she really does not have a choice in this matter, at least not for awhile. Meg was so facinated by all the activity and new people that we had trouble getting her to eat dinner and she actually ended up with a lot of dinner on her clothes. I guess she was mad she had to eat carrots and prunes/applesauce instead of hamburgers, hotdogs, etc. Not to mention she was very interested in the birthday cake as well. But she will have to wait until November for cake. Mia loved Meg's present, she picked her out a new scooby doo movie and an activity book. She definitely was more excited about the movie, but hopefully will like the book too. Cole got practice with the video camera for November, although I doubt Meg will be as excited opening presents as Mia was.
