Last night Meg and I went to a party for the Byrd boys, Rob and Bryan, in Jackson. They both got married this summer on the beach so the Byrd family decided to have a big reception for them so that everyone could celebrate. The party was held in Mr. and Mrs. Byrd's back yard. The set up was beautiful. I think that Ms Peggy did a great job putting it together.
Lisa and Chucky kept Meg Thursday and Friday night in Jackson and I arrived at their house on Saturday morning. My parents came into town for the party as well, so Meg and I had a busy day. We all met at the party and Meg was a hit. Her granna Lele dressed her so she looked cute as can be. I was kidding with some ladies at the party that if I could of had her around before Ashley and I met, she would have helped me with the ladies. Meg was passed from grandparent to grandparent and from fiend to friend as we saw a lot of people that we had not seen in a long time. One of the coolest things that she kept doing all night was reaching out for her grandmothers. When ever one of them would get close to me while I was holding her, she would stick out her arms.
The party did not start until 7:00 so I was afraid that Meg would not make it, but she did good. I looked down at my watch and saw it was 8:30. Thirty minutes past her normal bed time and she was still up and in a good mood. It all worked out for the both of us, as Meg let me sleep in until 8:30 Sunday morning.
