Catching up on the Holidays

Okay...We must start way back on December 2nd. This was Meg's 1 year check up. She was 31 inches long and 23 Pounds and 9 oz. These were in the 95th and 90th percentiles respectively. So we are definitely eating plenty. The doctor said the fits were normal, luckily they did not last too long. I am sure they will return...

Then on December 15th we left straight from school, picked up Cole at work and went to ICE at Opryland. Meg is really too young to enjoy it, but we had free tickets (thanks Diane) and Cole and I really wanted to go. Then we went inside the Hotel to see the lights, fountains, trees, and other decor. We also ate dinner. Dinner was almost a fiasco because we forgot Meg's cup. But, we recently taught her to drink from a straw, so she did not die of thirst. We had a great time and hope to go again every year.

Then later that week Meg awakens us with the Stomach Bug (she had just had pink eye as well...thanks to Kara for keeping her at home one day), needless to say it was a long night for us, especially Cole. He took the longest shift as I had to go to my last day of school the next day. Then that Saturday morning we pack up and head to Jackson for the Powell Family Christmas. There are no pictures because as soon as we got there, I discovered I had the stomach bug. We gave it to almost everyone there...unless there was also a bit of food poisoning. It was great to see everyone and Meg was in a great mood that night and went around loving on/infecting everyone!

Then we were back here until Wednesday of the next week. Meg and I laid low MOnday and Tuesday, neither of is had out appetite back and then packed up and headed out Wednesday morning for Jackson. Cole came after work Wednesday.

In Jackson, we made Christmas Cookies and hung out around the house aside from Christmas Eve. Then we went to the Williams Christmas and to the Candlelight servive at BBC. Meg was great, she ate 3 rolls and behaved as well. She made friends with all the babies around her and the superintendent of schools sitting in front of us. He had on a really soft velvet coat! Then we went home and opened our Christmas PJ's, took lots of pictures, and tried to read "Twas the Night Before Christmas", but Meg was not too interested....so we just put her to bed.

Then on Christmas morning we opened presents with my family, had a big breakfast and played with toys until it was time to head to Little Rock.

Ryan was already in Little Rock so when we arrived Cole's parents had a big Christmas dinner all ready for us. This was the first meal that Meg really ate a lot of since she had been sick. After dinner we opened presents and watched 'Christmas Vacation'. We did not get any pictures of Christmas night and we are not really sure why, but we are sorry.

Over the next few days we visited with Cole's parents and all of their friends. Cole and I even got to go see 'The Blind Side'. He even got me seats on the front row.

It was really nice to relax with our families and not do too much. Meg kept us pretty entertained in both Jackson and Little Rock.

Tuesday we packed up the car with all of our stuff, plus the new stuff, plus Ryan's stuff, plus Ryan and headed towards Nashville. Ryan stayed with us the rest of the week and Kara came to visit for New Years. As always, we had a packed house.
