16 Months old...

So...the biggest thing that has happened lately is Meg is only consistently taking one nap. Sometimes she will rest in her bed in the morning if we are at home on the weekends and sometimes on school afternoons she will rest/nap a little in the late afternoon. But on nap is all we can count on. Yesterday that was 3+ hours, but sometimes it is only 1.5-2 hours. I knew this was coming, but I was not ready for it to come so soon.

Meg is also trying harder often to feed herself. She is quite stubborn about it and not very good at it. But, I am glad she is interested. I really would like her to be feeding herself well with a spoon when her little sister gets here! Also, we are saying so many new words and talking so much more clearly..."poo","mimi","pop","home","baby","night, night", "cat", and "nose" are just a few of our consistent favorites. Oh yeah and one more...Noooo! (how could I forget??) She even told me today when she had "poo-poo'd" in her pants. Also,we talk to Mimi and Pop on the computer video chat and so now everytime we go in the computer room she starts saying their names...its too cute!

Meg has also been to meet the Easter bunny. Meg was not a fan, she screamed her head off and the pictures show it. But, she did look cute, and that is all that counts, correct? The photo I have above is after she calmed down and was back in her stroller.

Our last new thing is a bit of climbing, the stairs are still a favorite, but luckily Meg is really talented at sliding down them on her booty. She also has climbed out of the bath tub and up a small step ladder in the past few days.

Here she is on her favorite toy of the moment, her horse... now that she can get on and off by herself, she really likes playing on it a lot better. You cannot tell, but it hooks to the TV and there are different levels and games, etc and that is where the sound is coming from and what she is looking at and pointing towards.
