Fathers Day Weekend

This weekend was Father's Day and I have definitely had a full weekend. Meg and Ashley have been pretty great the last couple of days. Friday, I got to go play in a night golf tournament with some friends. I got home pretty late so Ashley and Meg tried to let me sleep in on Saturday morning. Saturday we made breakfast and headed to the pool. After a couple of hours of going back and forth from the kiddy pool to the big pool, it was time for lunch. Lunch usually would not be exciting enough to write about, but when we went to eat at the Mexican restaurant, I saw a man in a booth have a full blown date with HIMSELF. I am not making this up. He was having a two way conversation with a make-believe 'lady friend'. We rested up on Saturday afternoon before going out for agood dinner and a stop at the park. Meg really enjoys the park and all of the different things she gets to play with. She can wear you out though. She wants to swing for 2 minutes, see-saw for 3 minutes, slide for 2 minutes, play with the mulch for 5 minutes, and then swing again for...you get the idea. It is a blast to be there with her though. Every time we go she can do so much more. She is growing up so fast.

Meg gave me my first Father's Day present this morning at 5:40...an early wake-up call. It turned out alright as we all got to spend some extra time with each other. As for my other presents...Meg gave me a new shirt and Ashley gave me sheets. After church, they took me to lunch and then we spent the afternoon at a friend's pool. I think that I could get used to this Father's Day thing. Ashley also spent the entire day trying to get Meg to say "Happy Father's Day". She did it a couple of times, but she enjoys saying "happy" too much for us to get past that word. For the most part she just shouted "Happy Happy Happy!"
