This morning we went to story time at the library. Meg was very intimidated by all the kids at first. This really surprised me because she loved school. She sat in my lap and it took her a while to warm out. There is about a 25-30 minute program and then craft time. We sang our ABC's then this weeks them were the letters Q and R. So we talked about Quacking and Rain and then read 6 or so books having to do with one or the other. Meg listened intently. Then we sang a lot of songs that Meg knows like itsy bitsy spider, wheels on the bus, and she would smile but had a hard time getting into the motions and singing. I hope she feels even more comfortable next week. But, when it was time to make our craft she was all in it. She used the marker, crayon, and even the chalk and glue (it was our first experience with the last 2). We were some of the last people still in there making our Rain paper. The only way I could get her to leave was by telling her we had to go so we could show her picture to daddy. She walked out of the library proudly holding her picture and saying "show daddy, show daddy". Once we got home and ate lunch and played before naptime she kept wanting to sing the songs from the library and kept saying "again, again".
