22 months old, a purple cast and donuts

Last night Meg spent the night with KK because Mary Clark and I had to be at Franklin Bone and Joint at 7:30 am. It was a long morning. We saw a Nurse who could not believe how well she talked for how old she was, she said she is soooo smart. Then we went it X-ray and took 3 views of her arm. One of the views was different than they did at the walk in clinic or at Vandy Children's. This angle allowed the Dr. .
Stark to see that she was healing well but that her bones had a pretty large curve in them. So the task today was to put on a cast and "shape" her arm the way it needs to be. Because her is so young this should work, but he said it would be harder after 8 days in a split. He said he or whoever would have seen her at Williamson would have just popped it back in place originally. So there are obviously some
differing opinions on this. But, now we just have to deal with the hand we have been dealt. So they put her purple cast on and then we headed back to X-ray to see if it was on and able to correct her arm appropriately. Luckily, it was! If not, we would have had to start over! Luckily Dr. Stark said it looked great. So now we go back in 10 days to re-X-ray and hopefully get a waterproof cast once her arm is shaped appropriately. But, the good news is she should have no cast in 3 weeks when we head to the beach assuming all goes well. Dr. Stark seemed very confident that was a reasonable goal. Then afterwards we met KK and Meg at Krispy Kreme for donuts to celebrate making it through the visit and Mary Clark's 22 month birthday. I cannot believe she is almost 2 :)
