Ok, so Meg wakes up at 6:40ish this morning...some how I do not hear her and Cole goes and gets her without me knowing. Kind, thoughtful, I know...but it is my last morning with her!!! He will be getting her up every morning and getting her ready, while I get ready for school. So, needless to say I was a bit disappointed. She is just so happy to see us in the morning, I hate missing that part of the day. Then I fed her and we played for awhile before she went down for a nap. Hurley was extremely attentive to her this morning. As if she knew something was about to change. During Meg's morning nap, I showered and got ready for the day. We went to J. Alexanders for my "last lunch". It was delicious, we even had desert, carrot cake! Then we came home and Meg, Hurley and I took a walk. Since I am a teacher, you already realize I am a glutton for punishment, but walking with these two girls streches me to the limit. Today I just could not deny Hurley's sweet little face. It was an adventure, but overall Hurley was well behaved. Anytime I said her name though, she put her tail between her legs, I guess remembering the last walk we took where she ended up under the stroller in the basket. Then we came home and Meg took a short nap, which put a kink in the rest of our day. But, Cole came home early to visit with me and her on our last day. We played in the computer room for awhile. I had bought her some wrist rattles that we put on her wrist and ankles (she loves to kick) but she really did not get into them. She did enjoy playing with the pieces of her tummy time mat. Then Meg took another short nap while Cole and I made dinner. Once Meg woke up we gave ther a bath and then we were all having the best time playing. Meg was on her tummy and she is doing so well with it. She moves her arms and legs and raises her head up and looks all around. But, she tried to get too "good at it" and decided to roll over onto her back...we were so excited...she was not!!! She was upset on and off for the next 45 minutes or so until bedtime. So, rolling over may have been exciting for mom and dad, but it ended up just giving us an upset baby. Well, Meg is gone to bed, my lunch is packed, here goes nothing tomorrow!
Thinking of you today on your first day. I hope it goes well! Love you.
