February 2009

February is a big month in our house. We have Valentine's Day, 2 birthdays and President's Day weekend all to keep us busy. Both Cole and I turned 28 this year. Meg started to sleep all the way through the night in February. The night of February 8th to be exact. What a great birthday gift to me! We had just returned home from Jackson for my birthday and at first we were convinced it was a fluke. While in Jackson we got to visit all of my grandparents and both Anna and Kara came into town.

Susannah and Corinne came to visit us that week as well. Baby Corinne was a little bit scared of Hurley, but Cole tried to make her comfortable. He even taught her some new dance moves.

We also made our first trip over state lines with Meg. Her first new state...Arkansas. What a bummer. Meg did get to see Cole's parents for the first time since Christmas. There was a big 'Sip and See' so all of the Hodges' friends could meet Meg. Cole and I also got to go out dinner and a movie. We had a great trip and Meg was better than expected in the car.

This month Meg has started sucking her thumb. She also has gotten a lot better at 'tummy time' and just Friday night she sat in her Bumbo seat for the first time. She is getting to be such a big girl.
