Things started to get a lot easier for Cole and I in January. Once Meg was about 6 weeks old she started to sleep in her crib. She woke up to eat, but then she went right back to sleep. Meg also started smiling and a little bit of babble. She loves playing with her bug and radio. They both make noise and light up, which she is entertained by. Meg and I went to Spring Hill a couple of times to see the Hayes girls. Meg and Micah are a month apart.
MLK weekend was exciting as well. Ryan came in from Rhode Island with a friend from UNC, Dee, to visit with Cole. Kara came in to visit as well. Friday night all of the guys went out and stayed downtown while Meg and I stayed at the house and waited on Kara to arrive. Cole was back on Saturday morning with the guys and I got to get out of the house for some much needed 'me time'. I went to get a massage. Meg apparently had her first 'blow out' while I was off having fun. Cole was the lucky recipient of that first in her life. We capped off the weekend by having a big dinner at Buca di Beppo.
The last weekend of the month was also a big one. My parents came up Saturday so that Cole and I could go to 'The Killers' concert at the Grand Ole Opry. The concert was good. The audience was 'interesting'. Cole and I were a little out of place with our wardrobe choices that night. I am glad that my husband likes 'The Killers' but I do not think that he would look cute in tight black jeans.
Also, Meg had her 2 month appointment and first round of immunizations. She weighed 11 and a half pounds and was 25 inches long. (That is as long as the average 5 month old)
