One of the highlights of the weekend was Meg's first experience dying Easter eggs. Saturday afternoon we all gathered around the Powell kitchen table and dyed eggs for Meg's Easter Egg hunt. She did not do much dying herself, but since I do not ever remember dying eggs as a kid, I took full advantage of the experience. Meg loved the colors, but she told me later that she did not like the smell of hard boiled eggs. I have to agree.
Later on that night, once the eggs were dry, Lisa hid most of the eggs around the living room for Meg to hunt for on Easter Sunday. Some of the eggs were hidden a little too close to the ground and Hurley found them before Meg. Don't worry, Hurley did not destroy the eggs...she was not hungry. She had already destroyed a bag of Greenies earlier that day while we were at the mall.

Meg woke Sunday morning to a Easter basket full of toys and other goodies. She got an alphabet toy that hopefully will help her learn her letters faster. She got a new doll that lights up and plays a song that we named 'Press'. She also got some Fashionable shoes and socks to go along with her Easter dress. After we emptied her basket, it was time to search for all of those hidden eggs. This consisted of Lisa walking around with Meg and showing her the eggs and then getting Meg to try to grab it and put it in her basket. This worked a couple of times, but lets just say, Meg got a little help as 'the hunt' went on. One side note parents, and grandparents, on the Easter egg hunt...remember where you hide your eggs. It is not good to only have 11 of the 12 eggs you hid end up in your basket and not remember where the last one is.
Meg looked great in her Easter dress. Ashley and I went to church with Chucky and Meg met us in Brownsville for the big Easter lunch. When we got there she had already been passed around to everyone and even rolled over in her Easter dress.
