Toucan Sam and the Hurlinator
No pictures for this one, but I do have quite the story. After 4.5 months of Meg being home, Hurley has finally started to show out. This all started about 2 weeks ago with little things here and there, but last week Hurley decided to steal the hanging Toucan off of Meg's Rain forest mat. I caught her a couple of times with it, but at first I thought it was just a fluke. Then one night Ashley and I were sitting in the computer room playing with Hurley and Meg, when we saw her grab the toucan off of the mat. Of course I tell her to stop and that the toy is not hers to play with, but like all the women in this house, she does not listen to Cole. She waited for me to look away and then she went for it again. I grabbed it out of her mouth and put it back on there. She toyed with me for a little while before she grabbed it again. After that time, I said enough is enough. I am putting this thing on the top of the dresser. She saw me do this so she just stares up at it. Then she scopes out the perimeter and plans her mission to 'save' the toucan. Meanwhile, I start playing with Meg again and don't pay any attention to what Hurley is doing. Before I know it I hear the rattle from the toucan and Hurley has gotten it. I was amazed at this. How did she do it? Well, the next morning I found out. While I was getting Meg ready for school, Hurley climbed up on the bed, that is next to the dresser, and climbs onto the top of the dresser to get the toucan. Can you imagine walking in on your dog and she is on top of your furniture? I didn't buy a damn cat. I bought a dog. Dogs don't climb on furniture. In the end I had to take the toucan and hide it on top on Meg's furniture where Hurley could not see it. She has not looked at me the same since.
