Home Alone with Daddy

Ashley had to work on prom stuff on Saturday so I got to keep Meg all by myself. Okay, well that is not entirely true. Ashley did get me a babysitter for a couple of hours on Saturday morning so that I could go play basketball. I did take care of Meg the rest of the day though. And the best part of it...Ashley was not here to tell me how she would do it. Such a relief.

The day started pretty good. Ashley left super early in the morning and Meg and I slept in. Casey, the babysitter, said Meg was good while I was gone. She took a good nap, so that meant she was ready for a little daddy daughter time Saturday afternoon. We spent most of the day playing with Hurley or with our toys, but we did get out of the house to see mom and get some errands done. When we went to see Ashley at the Prom set up, all the kids, teachers and parents ohhed and ahhed over my little girl. I really do feel lucky to have made an adorable child. We stayed there for a little while to keep Ashley company, but then we left and ran to Office Depot and Dick's. You don't realize how much work it is to run errands with a baby until you have done it. You are not running anywhere. You might as well just slow down and take your time, b/c you can only get a stroller out and the baby in it so fast. Oh yeah...Meg wanted Five Guys for lunch so we went there too.

Ashley came home to get ready for the prom while Meg was taking her afternoon nap. We watched the Kentucky Derby together and then she tried to convince me to come up to prom with Meg...seriously did not think that was a good idea. The lucky thing for me was that Meg got a little fussy, so I didn't need to take her up there anyway. After Ashley left us for good we got some dinner and then played for a while, took a bath and went to bed. It is a lot of work to have a child, but it is a lot more work to do all this stuff by yourself. I think I did pretty good, not that I really doubted my abilities.
