Meg's 1st 4th of July

Meg started her day off right (or at least Mom and Dad did) with an early morning visit to pancake pantry. This is a Nashville "must" and there is usually a long line out the door. But, since we have such an early riser there was no wait for us at about 7:30 am. We had a wonderful breakfast and Meg entertained the older men at the table next to us. She is such a little flirt already, not so sure who she gets that from!

Then after her nap we went to our first festival in downtown Franklin as a family. We forgot to wear our matching American flag shirts, but there's always next year (We DO NOT want American flag shirts for Christmas). Meg was great, and loved watching all the people and listening to the music. Meg saw her first farm animals up close and personal. There was a small petting zoo, we were tempted to take her in (there was a little boy about her age getting his picture made with a goat) but decided she would have to wait until next year. She really is going to like things similar to this in about a year. There were so many neat things for toddlers to do. Cole and I did not leave without eating a corn dog and a cupcake, so I would say it was a successful afternoon.
