Meg got to meet some new family members on Monday. My aunt, Neet, and her daughter, AK, came with my mom to see Meg. They were making a summer road trip to see family and decided that on their way to Mississippi, they would just stop by. Only a 6-8 hour detour. It was good to see them since Ashley and I had not seen Neet or AK since we moved to Nashville. We had a great visit and they got to see a lot of Nashville. We went to the Pancake Pantry, Ashley took them shopping, and then we took them to downtown Franklin to eat dinner Tuesday night. I know they enjoyed the food because I made sure to tag along to Pancake Pantry, but I left the shopping up to Ashley and Meg. We took them to Monelle's for dinner Tuesday. This is a local Southern family style restaurant. We had everything from fried chicken to collared greens. Neet made friends with the mother and daughter that sat at the table with us. She was a sheriff in Nashville, but luckily for the rest of us, we did not get arrested for any noise violations or invasion of privacy. Meg really enjoyed meeting more of her family and so did Hurley. I think Hurley likes it when people visit because she gets a little bit more attention. The caravan to Mississippi left early Wednesday morning, heading to Oxford and then Yazoo City to see more relatives. This time of the older persuasion.
