So Sunday morning at about 3:30 am I rolled over and decided it was time to pay close attention to the contractions I had been having over night. To my surprise they were about 5 minutes apart. So I work Cole up, ate breakfast (eating BEFORE I went to the hospital was important to me because I did not do that last time and I paid for it), packed our stuff up (NO I had not done this yet), gave the Meg's monitor to Kara, and headed to the hospital. By, 5 we were checked into our room but they have to let you stay and "progress" before they will officially check you in. But, by 6:30 I was checked in and ready to go. Labor was similar to Meg at first but then my progression from 6 cm to 10 cm was impressively fast! It actually startled Cole and I when the nurse told me I was ready. I thought for sure I had a few more hours. Then soon after all 21.5 inches and 8lbs 5 oz of her arrived! There are obviously plenty of details between 6:30 and 2 I left out and if you want those...give me a call. We were very surprised to learn she was 2oz bigger and basically the same length as Meg. We were pretty sure that she would be a smaller baby. We had lots of great visitors at the hospital and were home by 11:30 am today. Here are a few pictures, we will write more later about how Meg is doing and everything else! But, enjoy this for now.
