2 down....50 more to go (school days that is!)

The first two days of work for me and daycare for Meg definitely went better than expected overall. Some of my kids were glad to see me, others groaned because after 12 weeks of doing hardly working, now they know they will have to work hard again. You should see their grades, I have never seen so many A's in all my life! But, I think they learned a few things, and overall my room seems to be in order. I am very grateful to my 2 subs for that!

So here are the top 5 best parts of being back at school....(no need to moan and groan)

  1. My "teacher" friends...they are wonderful! I got flowers and sweet/funny cards from them when I returned. I really did not know I was so popular!

  2. $$$$ I have not gotten a pay check in 2009, I think I finally get one the last working day of the month of March.

  3. I do not feel bad so not being a good housewife, cooking and cleaning have never been my forte. It was hard to justify not doing those things when I was at home all day.

  4. Knowing all the gossip...I felt so out of the loop!

  5. I eat less, because I am busy. Also, I have to pack my lunch and snacks and there is really no time to eat anything else. So I eat healthier, because it is all I bring. Hopefully those last 5 pounds will be gone soon.

As for Meg, clearly I have no real clue what she is thinking but the first day she cried a good bit and did not sleep much at all. But, she did not cry when I left, stopped by at lunch, or when I picked her up...so luckily I did not see it. If I had, it would have made it 10x harder to return on Friday. Friday was much better "miss" Laura said. They moved her crib and she was able to sleep better. She is the bad child now, with her crib in the far, dark corner. (JK-but that is where her crib is) Also, they have time when all the babies "socialize", there are 5 baby girls in there currently so this should get interesting! Apparently Meg gets scared/upset when the other babies get to close to her. I guess she has boundary issues. She did not get them from me though...I cross boundaries all the time.

So, I guess we will go back next week for all five days...unfortunately it is probably to late in the year to hope for a snow day! It is supposed to rain a lot...maybe there will come a flood. Meg does have a really cute Noah's Arc outfit!
