Good time Meggie, with a Hurley, bottle fed, and tummy bound!

Tummy Time!

Hurley's newest toy!

Meg puts everything straight in her mouth

Meg has definitely reached the height of the "everything goes in my mouth" stage. First off she is a thumb sucker, but that is just the beginning. Her bib, her blanket, "Patch" the pup (currently her favorite toy), her keys, she even tries to put her "radio" in her mouth. But, it clearly does not fit. Everything you put in front of her she tries to grab, and takes it straight to her mouth. Not so sure I like the timing of this and the beginning of daycare. But, she has to be introduced to other germs eventually! She also really likes to shriek and is also starting to laugh out loud occasionally. We spend lots of time in the computer room in the evenings listening to our itunes play list and singing, dancing, and playing with Meg. Don't get confused, Cole and I are not dancing...Cole and Meg are.

Hurley has left all of Meg's toys along until recently. It has been quite remarkable, considering everything around this house that remesembles a toy has been all Hurley's for 3 years before Meg came along. Hurley has now really taken a liking to Meg's wrist rattles. Which is fine with Meg because she is not one bit interested in them. I do not think they make enough racket for her. She is used to her "bug" and "radio" that are quite noisy.

Meg's 1st week at daycare went quite well. She is learning to sleep better though all the commotion and in the new bed. Luckily it has not really affected her sleep at night at home either. Here, we are able to lay her down when she is tired and she just goes right to sleep most of the time. She was able to go strolling at daycare earlier this week in the large stroller with some of her new friends. She also plays so much that sometimes I come in and she is stripped down to a onsie or has at least had to take her socks off because she is so hot. She also has stolen the heart of many of the CHS students already. The child development students work in the daycare a few at a time and all the students have had the nicest things to tell me about her, even when they are telling me that she was upset and they had to calm her down. Overall this has been a pretty uneventful week, but this weekend Papa Chuck and Granna Lele are coming to town for a Brad Paisley concert and Cole and I are going out with some friends and Meg will be staying with her first babysitter. So there should be some interesting stories to tell!
The title of this blog comes from a line in Meg's favorite song...can anyone name that tune?
