What is a "Clark Clark"?
Meg has coined the phrase "Clark Clark" for Mary Clark. She is really talking about her sister more and more. She definitely associates her with my ever-growing stomach. But, she also has been known to call her baby dolls and stuffed animals "Clark Clark". She definitely knows what her sister's name is when she is asked and she also knows that she is a baby. But, I am definitely sure she has no clue what is about to happen when we bring "Clark Clark" home in a few weeks.
What is a "Loveby"?
Meg has 4 Lovey's...a poodle, a teddy bear, a spotted giraffe, and a super lovey (larger blanket than the others have attached. She loves them all equally. She wants one for "night night" and whenever she gets hurt or upset. She even insisted on taking one swimming last week. But, that usually does not happen. But, now she has started telling us, Hurley, her books, whatever suits her fancy, that she "Loveby you". Also, Mary Clark has a Lovey that Meg has spotted a few times and she is not sure what to think about it, but I have made it clear it is not hers, and she is ok with that so far.
"Where did(did did did) it go?"
This phrase sometimes causes Meg to studder, but when she is looking for someone or something she LOVES to hold her hands up in confusion and ask "Where did(did did did) it(a person, place or thing) go?" It is so irresitably cute and funny. She has even started sometimes hiding things, just so she can say it and be silly.
"two"
Anything you ask Meg about "how many" she says 2....when we walk every morning, everyone has 2 dogs, she has 2 hands, but also 2 mouths, etc...
She can count 1,2,3 because that is what we say when she jumps in the pool but clearly has no concept of what they mean.
beep, beep
Whenever she is trying to get somewhere, or around something she says beep beep. The other night a "bus person" at a restaurant was pushing a cart of dishes etc by us and everytime that happened she would say "beep beep"
She repeats everything we say and knows almost all her body parts, still working on wrist, ankle, knee, and she calls her elbow, ELMO. She loves to try to guess the color of things but is almost always wrong and she knows lots of animals and their sounds. We went to a BBQ restaurant this week and the workers had pigs on their t-shirts and she kept pointing and saying piggy, and oinking at everyone.
Meg has a real cute sense of humor and is definitely going to keep us on our toes for years to come. I am not real sure where she gets her wild personality...haha
